I am sitting at “coffeehouse by george” looking out on rainy Fridhemsplan and Drottningholmsvägen. what else can you do except cruising and using the map1 and map2 ? read books and newspåapers at Kungsholms library St.Eriksgatan. around the corner on fleminggatan you have big non-commercial second-hand-store .
Stockholms townlibrary is situated near Odenplan, worth to see inside and outyside (Gunnar Asplund architekt, the building its round inside ). all around Odenplan you have the finest Collection of antique shops and second-hand-shops. One big non-Commercial is on Nortullsgatan towards observatoriekullen.
in the old town: for free is the “forum of living history” at Stora Nygatan. the biggest kathedral Storkyrkan costs only a small entrance fee and its very worth see. for the sculpture of St.George and the gigantic sensual paintings . still comparatively ok in food-price is Jerusalem kebab in a small sidesstreet between Stora Nygatan and Västerlånggatan. Bus 65 goes to Skeppsholm and there the small architecture-museum is for free (besides moderna) . there is also raaseglarhus which is old warehouse and now home to different shops for veteran-sailing. it smells tar and oil inside. On Sergels Torg Kulturhuset has always some things to do that do not cost. the blue line of the subway has some stations with a lot of art.
